A short drive (7-8 miles) to the Hatteras Island light house and park area, a shorter drive to the "Canadian Hole" (one of the premiere kite surfing/ sail boarding spots on the East coast) and more beach access (4 x 4 ramps), and an even short drive (long walk for the adventurous) to local shops and restaurants.
